The Oaklands Practice : Measles

<body bgcolor="##F0AECA"> <p><strong>Measles</strong></p> <p>Measles cases have been reported among young people locally.</p> <p>Adequate protection against mumps can only be achieved by 2 doses of the MMR (measles,mumps,rubella) vaccine.</p> <p>Many young people have had no immunisation against measles at all, or have had only one dose of the MMR vaccine.</p> <p>If you are aged 17 to 25 yrs old, and you have never had the MMR vaccine, or you have had only one MMR vaccination, then you are strongly encouraged to have the MMR vaccination against measles as soon as possible.
