The Practice Nurses

We have two experienced practice nurses whose daily work includes changing dressings, ECGs, vaccinations, travel immunisations, cervical smear tests and ear syringing.

In addition, the nurses are also available to offer advice but, in order not to inconvenience the patients they are treating, the Nurses will often ring patients back between appointments.

The nurses also run their own specialised clinics under medical guidance, including asthma, COPD, diabetes, flu vaccination and baby immunisation clinics.

Our Health Care Assistant provides a number of services for patients, including performing hearing tests, ECGs, diabetes and heart disease monitoring, certain vaccinations and injections, blood pressure and urine testing, removal of stitches, leg ulcer bandaging, spirometry and performing blood tests (phlebotomy).
